The FIR stems from a parody song Kamra performed at Habitat Comedy Club in Mumbai, which allegedly mocked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and sparked a political backlash. Following the performance, Shiv Sena supporters vandalised the venue, and MLA Murji Patel lodged a police complaint. Kamra, currently in Tamil Nadu, argues that the FIR violates his fundamental rights under Articles 19(1)(a), 19(1)(g), and 21 of the Constitution.
Saif Ali Khan 2012 hotel brawl case: A Mumbai court has re-issued a bailable warrant against actor Malaika Arora after she failed to appear as a witness in the 2012 assault case involving actor Saif Ali Khan. Arora was present during the incident at a five-star hotel, where Saif allegedly punched NRI businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma, fracturing his nose. The court had earlier issued a warrant on February 15 but re-issued it on Monday due to her absence. The next hearing is scheduled for April 29.
