Jawa enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice as the iconic motorcycle manufacturer expands its line-up with the much-anticipated launch of the Jawa 350. Priced at Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Jawa 350 replaces the classic Jawa in the company’s esteemed line-up and introduces several notable changes to captivate the hearts of biking enthusiasts.
The standout feature of the Jawa 350 is its all-new liquid-cooled, 334cc, single-cylinder engine. This powerhouse is capable of delivering a robust 22.5hp at 7,000rpm and 28.1Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Despite a reduction in power by 4.8hp compared to its predecessor, the peak torque has seen an increase of 1Nm and is now delivered earlier in the rev band. The bike offers a smooth riding experience with a 6-speed gearbox complemented by a slip-and-assist clutch.
Weighing in at 194kg, the Jawa 350 is just 1kg lighter than its chief competitor, the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The motorcycle boasts a 13.5-litre fuel tank, and with a seat height of 802mm and 178mm of ground clearance, it promises a comfortable and commanding riding position.
The heart of the Jawa 350, the 334cc engine, is housed within a true-to-form double cradle frame. The suspension setup includes a 35mm telescopic fork at the front and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride. Braking duties are handled by a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, both equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Jawa 350 rides on spoked rims and tubed tires, with the front featuring a size of 100/90-18 and the rear equipped with a 130/70-18 tire. The vintage charm is maintained with the availability of three classic colors – the timeless Jawa maroon, sleek black, and a vibrant new Mystique Orange shade.
Positioned strategically at Rs 2.15 lakh, the Jawa 350 offers a compelling option just below the top-spec Royal Enfield Classic 350, which is priced at Rs 2.25 lakh. With its blend of power, style, and heritage, the Jawa 350 is set to make waves in the fiercely competitive Indian motorcycle market.
