TSRTC Bus Conductor

A 28-year-old woman from Hyderabad, identified as Sameena Begum, has been apprehended by the authorities for assaulting a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus conductor. The incident, which occurred a week ago, gained widespread attention after a viral video surfaced on social media, capturing the altercation.
LB Nagar inspector B Anji Reddy disclosed to Siasat.com that the woman was identified through the analysis of the viral video. Following the identification process, Sameena Begum was tracked down in Amberpet and subsequently presented before a magistrate for judicial remand.
The video footage, recorded on January 31st, depicts Sameena creating a disturbance inside a TSRTC bus while hurling abusive language. In a disturbing turn of events, she is seen physically assaulting the bus conductor by kicking him. The confrontation escalated further with Sameena issuing threats to the conductors aboard the bus, which belongs to Hayatnagar Depot-1 in Hyderabad.
In response to the incident, a formal complaint was lodged by the TSRTC official at the LB Nagar police station. VC Sajjanar, the Managing Director of TSRTC, took to Twitter to address the issue, stating, “The management of TSRTC has made it clear that if such incidents are committed against the staff who are performing their duties efficiently with commitment, they will not be ignored at all.”
This arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting public service workers and the consequences of engaging in violent behavior. The TSRTC, along with law enforcement authorities, remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its staff while delivering essential services to the community.
