If you often use Google Keep on the web and have long waited for the text formatting feature to debut, there’s some good news. To catch you up, Android users have been using text formatting in Google Keep for two years now. Google neglected the web app all this time, but that’s finally changing now.
Text formatting feature finally arrives on Google Keep web
In a recent Workspace Updates blog, Google announced that it’s updating the Google Keep web app with the rich text formatting feature. As part of the latest update, you can customize text and heading styles as per your needs.
You can access the new text formatting option in the web version of Google Keep by clicking on the “A” button sitting to the bottom left of the writing area. When you click on it, you’ll see a new toolbar featuring all the text formatting options. You can select the text and choose to italicize, bold, underline, or remove formatting. That’s not all; you can also convert a regular text into H1 and H2 headers.
Although it’s a small change, Google Keep users on the web can present their text in a more organized way. This also allows users to find specific information with ease. Google didn’t mention whether the rich text formatting will sync between the web version and the Google Keep Android app. However, in our testing, the text formatting synced without any issues. Text formatting feature is starting to roll out now for Google Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal Google account users. As seen above, we can see the new text formatting options on the web version of the Keep note-taking service. If it doesn’t appear for you, you should probably wait for a few more days.
